The St. Louis 36th Annual Builders Home & Garden Show returns to America’s Center February 21st – 24th. One of the largest quality consumer home shows in North America, the Home & Garden Show is the place to see, learn about and buy the latest home products and services from companies you can trust. The show is produced by the Home Builders Association.
The Home & Garden Show is actually six shows in one, showcasing the latest in Lawn & Garden, Kitchen & Bath, Interior Design, Pool & Spa, Building Products, and Green Products. Five hundred exhibitors in 1,800 booths fill nearly 400,000 square feet and provide consumers with an excellent buying opportunity, competitive pricing and side-by-side comparison between companies.
Welcome spring as you stroll through six beautiful feature gardens filled with fabulous flowers, water features and the newest ideas for your garden. And don’t miss the centerpiece of the feature garden area – the Amazing Living Fountain, a mesmerizing entertainment experience! Haunting music begins, and with magical elegance, a statue of a beautiful woman animates into a living fountain. Delicate jets of water appear from her fingertips and a shimmering halo cascades from the crown of her head in this beautifully choreographed display.
Visit the Belgard Landscapers Challenge to see a stunning landscape built with Belgard hardscapes. Show visitors can dream of a new outdoor living space and register to win a $6,000 brick oven. Renegade Gardener Don Engebretson brings his own brand of frank, humorous gardening know-how to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Green Thumb Theater. He will present seminars about container gardening, landscape design, and common gardening myths and the mayhem they cause! Additional experts will present seminars about vegetable gardening and enhancing your home’s curb appeal.
Learn how to save money, breathe easier and help the environment at the GeoComfort Green Products Pavilion & Stage. Get information from nearly 20 companies and attend informative seminars from local and national experts, including HGTV’s Jeff Wilson. Jeff has appeared in nearly 200 episodes on HGTV and DIY Network, and has more than 25 years of experience in home building and remodeling. Jeff will share information about how deep energy retrofits on older homes and buildings can slash energy use by 50-90 percent and save money and resources. He will also talk about green kitchen and bath trends. KMOX Home Answer Man Scott Mosby reveals the best place to spend your home improvement dollars. And visit the Mosby Solution Center where experts can give you answers to all of your home improvement questions.
The Better Living Theater features seminars on a variety of home improvement topics by local experts. Get valuable information that can help you design or remodel your kitchen or bath. Identify the countertop styles and materials that will work the best for your home and lifestyle.
The Home Show is always family-friendly. Kids and adults alike will love the Flying Houndz Frizbee Trick Dog Show. The engaging narration and choreographed routines will amaze audiences. The dogs will fly high while catching Frisbees, plus show off fancy footwork and trick dog dancing. Kids will also enjoy the Children’s Garden Club, with free hands-on projects, brought to the show by St. Louis County Parks. The Flying Houndz Frizbee Trick Dog Show is sponsored by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and all Family Fun areas are sponsored by Suburban Journals.
Attendees can register to win the Ultimate Dream Play Backyard from Dream Play Recreation, a $5,000 Value! Show hours: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday’s hours are - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission prices: Adults - $10, Children 6-12 - $4, Children 5 and under - free. Special discounts are available with coupons from Schnucks. Pre-purchase tickets online to receive $2 off adult admission any show day and included is a full year’s subscription to Better Homes & Gardens (a value of $6). 3,500 parking spaces are available at Laclede’s Landing and the Arch garage. Visitors may park at participating lots for $3-$4 with parking validation and catch a free shuttle to and from America’s Center. The shuttle, sponsored by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, will run in five-minute intervals throughout the show.
