Take Action.

Prevailing Wage laws ensure that ALL skilled workers are paid fairly, so employers can't undercut them and drive down wages, hurting our economy.

But right now, extremists in the Missouri Legislature are attacking Prevailing Wage at the expense of working families.

We need you to take action NOW and call your representative and tell him/her to protect Prevailing Wage laws that keep local jobs local, workplaces safe and ensure quality workmanship. Our elected officials are fast tracking attacks on workers instead of the issues that matter to our families, and we need to make sure they know these attacks won't go unnoticed.

Call 1-800-208-3499 NOW and tell your representative that you want Missouri to protect Prevailing Wage!

Here are some tips for your phone call:
Make sure you introduce yourself and let them know you are a constituent in their district.
Make sure you are brief, polite and respectful.

Share your personal story and facts about Prevailing Wage that resonate with you and ask that they stand with you and other working families in Missouri and oppose any effort to weaken or repeal Prevailing Wage.

Key facts about Prevailing Wage that you can share:
LOCAL JOBS - Prevailing Wage ensures that firms that bring in lower-cost, out-of-state labor for the job do not outbid private companies that use state labor, keeping jobs local.
SAFER SCHOOLS AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS - Prevailing Wage laws ensure our schools and roads are built safely, by qualified and skilled workers, not by out-of-state companies or undocumented workers.
LESS GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE - Prevailing Wage allows employees to receive more comprehensive benefit packages and reduces reliance on the public sector for health insurance, retirement benefits and other forms of public assistance.
KEEPS MISSOURI’S ECONOMY STRONG - Cutting construction workers' pay and allowing out-of-state companies to build in Missouri will have a direct effect on tax revenues throughout the state, hurting the economy.
QUALITY WORK, UNDER BUDGET - When you look at Prevailing Wage states, workers finish projects more quickly, more safely and under budget.
End your call by asking them to oppose any legislation that would weaken or repeal Prevailing Wage laws in Missouri.

Thank them for their time.

Thank you for taking action to protect Missouri workers and families. Please forward to friends and family and ask them to take action too!
