Who may use Carpenters Wellness Center services?
The Wellness Center serves our eligible members and their covered dependents. To verify eligibility, please contact Carpenters Benefit Plans Member Services, 7 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday at 314.644.4802, toll-free at 877.232.3863, option 1, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do I need an appointment to visit the Wellness Center?
Yes, an appointment is required to be seen at the wellness center.
What services are offered at the Wellness Center?
Primary care, X-ray imaging, Chiropractic, Medical Massage Therapy, Behavioral Health, Wellness, Physical Therapy, Vision, Pharmacy and Dental. For a full list of services provided, please see above table.
I recently had a check-up with my family doctor but am interested in transferring my care to the Wellness Center. Will the visit be covered even though I recently saw another physician?
Yes, your visit will be covered if you wish to transfer and establish your care with the Wellness Center.
What age groups are eligible for primary care services?
Anyone age 2 and older and eligible for medical services (non-Medicare) may be seen for primary care services.*
I am 65 and on the Medicare Plan. What services can I access at the Wellness Center?
Carpenters United Healthcare Medicare Supplement population is invited to use the Wellness Center Pharmacy, Audiology and Dental.
I need to get my physical for my commercial license updated. Can I get this done at the Wellness Center?
Unfortunately, no. DOT requirements cannot be fulfilled at the Wellness Center at this time.
Will there be specialists such as dermatology, orthopedics, podiatrists etc available through the Wellness Center?
Yes. Currently the wellness center has an audiologist offering visits weekly. We also plan to have other specialists onsite at various times throughout the year. These events will be communicated to members as they are added to the calendar.
Does the Wellness Center offer Well-Woman exams?
Yes, a complete well woman exam can be done through our primary care services. If warranted, a mammogram order will be issued and referred out as well.
Is there a limit of allowed visits to the Wellness Center for Physical Therapy, Chiropractic and Massage Therapy?
A patient is eligible to receive all medically necessary visits through the Wellness Center with no copay as prescribed by a qualified provider.
Can a referral for physical therapy come from any physician or does it need to come from a provider at the Wellness Center?
A referral for physical therapy can come from any physician.
Do I need a referral to see the massage therapist?
Yes, a referral is required from a wellness center provider for medical massage therapy.
